| 裏面の説明 | Forepart of a bull charging to the right, its head turned frontally to face the viewer, rendered with vigorous plasticity. The musculature of the animal's neck and shoulders is boldly modelled in high relief. A partial Greek legend appears above and to the sides of the bull's figure; a small letter appears in the lower left field as a possible control mark. The composition fills the flan with characteristic energy of early 4th-century Mysian civic coinage. |

Gambrion was a minor Mysian city whose coinage output was small enough that its attribution remained contested well into the twentieth century. The tetrobol denomination — two-thirds of an obol shy of a full drachm — suggests this city was plugging into a regional exchange network rather than asserting any independent monetary ambition. The SNG France and Winterthur concordances between them account for only a handful of recorded specimens.
