The hair is depicted as a mass of large, leaf-shaped or almond-like pellets arranged in an elaborate coiffure sweeping back from the forehead, a hallmark of Eastern Celtic die-cutting. The facial features are stylized yet expressive, with a prominent circular eye, a rounded chin, and scroll-form curls at the nape and beard area. Flowing drapery or neck elements are suggested by incised lines below the head. The entire design is framed by a border of raised pellets encircling the flan. |
