| Description du revers | Zeus Nikephoros seated left on a throne, nude to the waist with a himation draped across his lower body and legs, holding an eagle standing right in his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ is placed to the right and below in the field, with control marks and monograms appearing to the left of the figure and beneath the throne seat. The composition closely follows the Alexandrine reverse type, with the addition of the royal titulature identifying Seleukos I as king. |
