| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Phraates IV facing left, rendered in the distinctive Parthian artistic style. The king wears an elaborate tiara or mural crown adorned with multiple rows of pellets and beaded decoration. His hair falls in long, carefully arranged curls behind the ear and along the neck. The royal garment is richly ornamented with a beaded torque at the neck and a jewelled necklace across the chest, conveying regal splendour. The portrait is bold and close-set within the flan, with no surrounding legend on the obverse. |
