Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, the back of which is elaborately ornamented. Her right hand rests upon a large round shield set upright on the ground before her, while a long transverse spear leans against her left shoulder. The goddess is depicted in flowing drapery in the Hellenistic tradition. The Greek legend ΦΙΛΕΤΑΙΡΟΥ appears in the field, identifying the dynast under whose authority the coin was struck.
