| Descrizione del dritto | Diademed and youthful portrait bust of Mithridates VI Eupator facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic royal tradition with finely detailed, wildly flowing curls cascading behind the neck and over the forehead in the manner reminiscent of Alexander the Great. The diadem is tied at the back with trailing ends visible, asserting royal authority. The portrait is struck in high relief with sharply defined facial features — a strong aquiline nose, well-defined chin, and a slightly parted lip — displaying the accomplished engraving characteristic of the Pergamene mint. The field is otherwise bare, focusing all visual emphasis on the idealized royal effigy. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A stag grazing to the left occupies the central field, rendered with naturalistic detail as the royal emblem of the Pontic dynasty. The Greek legend BAΣIΛEΩΣ appears above, with MIΘPAΔATOY and EYΠATOPOΣ inscribed in two lines below the stag, identifying the king in the genitive case as 'of King Mithridates Eupator.' To the left of the stag, a star-in-crescent symbol appears above a monogram, serving as a dynastic or mint control mark. To the right, the regnal year BIΣ (year 212 of the Pontic era, corresponding to 85 BC) is placed above a second monogram, while the month designation IB (month 12) appears in the exergue. The entire design is enclosed within a Dionysiac wreath composed of ivy leaves and fruit, a motif deliberately associating Mithridates VI with the cult of Dionysus. |
