The hair is rendered in a series of tight, globular curls framing the face and neck. The entire effigy is enclosed within a beaded border. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Arsaces I, the dynastic founder, seated in three-quarter view to the right on an omphalos throne, his torso facing forward and his right hand extended to receive a bow, the dynastic symbol of Parthian sovereignty. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition, with drapery falling over the legs. The lengthy Greek dynastic legend encircles the central type on all sides, filling the field with multiple lines of inscription above, below, and to either side of the enthroned figure. The coin is struck on an irregularly shaped flan typical of Seleucid-era production at the Seleucia on the Tigris mint. |
