The deity's long, wavy hair falls loosely to either side of the face, framed by a laurel wreath, with drapery visible at the base of the neck. The modeling of the facial features — high cheekbones, softly parted lips, and large almond-shaped eyes — reflects the refined Hellenistic artistic tradition of Carian coinage under Mausolus. The broad, shallow flan displays the design in high relief with excellent detail typical of satrap-period silver issues. |
