| Opis rewersu | A crab shown in full frontal view, rendered with great anatomical detail, its carapace prominent at centre and its eight legs splayed symmetrically to either side — the civic emblem of Kos. Beneath the crab appears a crayfish (or lobster) in profile facing right, serving as a secondary control symbol. The legend is divided into two lines flanking the crab: ΚΩΙΟΝ above in the upper field, and ΛΕΩΔΑΜΑΣ below, identifying the magistrate Leodamas. The entire reverse design is set within a beaded border. |
