| Beschrijving voorzijde | Youthful male head facing right, wearing the scalp of the Nemean lion — the identifying attribute of Herakles — with the lion's open jaws framing the forehead and the mane rendered in flowing, naturalistic locks. The portrait is executed in the Lysippan tradition characteristic of Alexander-type coinage, with finely modelled facial features, a strong jaw, and slightly parted lips. The field is plain, with no legend on the obverse. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A crab shown in full frontal view, rendered with great anatomical detail, its carapace prominent at centre and its eight legs splayed symmetrically to either side — the civic emblem of Kos. Beneath the crab appears a crayfish (or lobster) in profile facing right, serving as a secondary control symbol. The legend is divided into two lines flanking the crab: ΚΩΙΟΝ above in the upper field, and ΛΕΩΔΑΜΑΣ below, identifying the magistrate Leodamas. The entire reverse design is set within a beaded border. |
