| Descrizione del rovescio | Athena Ilias standing in three-quarter view facing left, striding with her right hand raised and holding a spear diagonally over her shoulder, and her left hand extended forward, holding a distaff or spindle adorned with a cluster of pellets. The goddess is dressed in a long peplos and wears a helmet; at her feet to the right crouches an owl facing the viewer. The legend ΑΘΗΝΑΣ ΙΛΙΑΔΟΣ is arranged vertically along the left and right borders of the central field, while ΚΛΕΩΝΟΣ appears horizontally in the middle field flanking the figure, and ΑΝΤΙΦΑΝΟΥ is inscribed horizontally in a rectangular tablet in the lower exergue, identifying the magistrate Kleon, son of Antiphanes. |
