| Descrizione del dritto | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, portrayed with the ram's horn of Ammon curling behind the ear, a divine attribute asserting his semi-divine status. The hair is rendered in thick, flowing locks swept back from the forehead and falling in voluminous waves behind, executed in the high-relief Hellenistic style. The facial features are idealized yet individualizing, with a strong brow, prominent nose, and slightly parted lips. No legend appears on the obverse, the entire field being devoted to the heroic portrait. The engraving is of fine Hellenistic workmanship consistent with official posthumous issues struck in the name of Lysimachus. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, wearing a crested Attic helmet, cuirass, and draped garments falling to her feet. She extends her right hand forward to receive a small Nike standing upon it, who holds a wreath and palm branch. Her left arm rests on a large round shield decorated with a device, while a spear leans against her left shoulder. The encircling two-line Greek legend reads ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ to the left, identifying the coin as issued in the name of King Lysimachus. A monogram or control mark appears in the lower field or exergue, serving as a mint or magistrate symbol for the Byzantion issue. |
