Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander III facing right, his long wavy hair rendered in deeply cut, flowing locks radiating around the portrait. The distinguishing horn of Ammon curls prominently behind the ear, asserting Alexander's divine association with the Egyptian deity. The diadem is visible across the forehead, and the portrait displays the idealised Hellenistic style characteristic of posthumous Lysimachean coinage. No legend appears on the obverse; the design fills the broad flan, with the relief bold and commanding.
