Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her left arm resting on a large round shield set on the ground, a transverse spear visible in the background behind her. She holds a Nike in her extended right hand, who crowns the royal legend. The primary legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs along the upper and right fields. The secondary control inscription ΑΠΟΛΛΑ appears to the inner left of the figure, while the mint signature ΚΑΛΧΑ and an ear of wheat are placed in the exergue, identifying this issue as a posthumous civic tetradrachm struck at Calchedon.
