Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander III right, portrayed with the ram's horn of Ammon curling behind the ear, identifying him as son of Zeus-Ammon. The effigy exhibits the characteristic flowing, leonine hair rendered in deeply cut strands radiating from the crown, with fine die work capturing the idealized portrait style associated with posthumous Lysimachean coinage. The surface of the flan shows characteristic die wear consistent with a long-circulating issue. No legend appears on the obverse.
