| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed and heroic effigy of the deified Alexander III facing right, adorned with the small horn of Ammon curling above the ear, identifying him as the son of Zeus-Ammon. The portrait displays thick, flowing locks rendered with great plasticity and Hellenistic artistic refinement. A diadem is tied around the head with the ends visible behind the neck. The field is plain, with no legend on the obverse, in keeping with the posthumous Lysimachean coinage tradition. |
