| Descrizione del dritto | Heroic head of Heracles facing right, depicted wearing the Nemean lion scalp headdress, the lion's mane rendered in bold, deeply carved locks framing the face, with the lion's paws knotted at the neck. The portrait is executed in the idealized Hellenistic style associated with posthumous Alexander coinage, presenting the deity's features with youthful vigour. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, with a smooth, lightly toned silver field surrounding the high-relief effigy. No legend appears on the obverse. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Zeus Aetophoros enthroned left, his body nude to the waist and draped from the hips, seated on a throne with a back support. In his extended right hand he holds an eagle, and in his left hand a long vertical sceptre. To the left field, the legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically; to the right field, ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ runs vertically. Beneath the throne, the monogram ΜΑ appears, serving as the mint control mark for Mesembria, along with a secondary control symbol. The composition follows the canonical posthumous Alexander tetradrachm reverse type. |
