Reverse description Zeus Aetophoros enthroned left, his body nude to the waist and draped from the hips, seated on a throne with a back support. In his extended right hand he holds an eagle, and in his left hand a long vertical sceptre. To the left field, the legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically; to the right field, ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ runs vertically. Beneath the throne, the monogram ΜΑ appears, serving as the mint control mark for Mesembria, along with a secondary control symbol. The composition follows the canonical posthumous Alexander tetradrachm reverse type.
