| Obverse description | Heroic head of Heracles facing right, depicted wearing the Nemean lion scalp headdress, the lion's mane rendered in bold, deeply carved locks framing the face, with the lion's paws knotted at the neck. The portrait is executed in the idealized Hellenistic style associated with posthumous Alexander coinage, presenting the deity's features with youthful vigour. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, with a smooth, lightly toned silver field surrounding the high-relief effigy. No legend appears on the obverse. |
