| Beschrijving voorzijde | Youthful male head facing right, presented as Herakles wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp covering the crown with the lion's jaws framing the face and the forelegs knotted at the throat. The portrait is rendered in the vigorous Hellenistic style, with finely modelled curling locks visible beneath the pelt, a strong brow, and well-defined facial features. The coin's broad, slightly irregular flan is characteristic of posthumous Alexandrine issues struck at provincial mints. |
