| Obverse description | Youthful head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion as headdress, with the lion's gaping jaws framing the hero's brow and the mane cascading across the neck. The facial features are rendered in a vigorous Hellenistic style, with strong modelling of the cheek, nose, and chin characteristic of the posthumous Alexandrine coinage tradition. The finely articulated lion-skin headdress displays detailed musculature and texture, conveying both divine heritage and heroic identity. No legend appears on the obverse field. |
