Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low backless throne, his nude torso erect and draped from the waist, extending his right hand forward upon which an eagle perches with closed wings, while his left hand grasps a tall upright sceptre. In the left field, a youthful male figure stands left, raising a tainia (fillet or headband) overhead with both arms in a gesture of offering or dedication. Beneath the throne, a dove stands right, and a control monogram appears below the throne. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the issue as struck in the name of Alexander.
