The portrait is executed in the vigorous Lysippan tradition, with bold modeling of the facial features and a prominent, well-defined jaw. The lion's skin is tied beneath the chin, its paws visible across the shoulder. A dotted border is visible along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck production of the late Macedonian posthumous series. |

| Opis rewersu | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left upon a high-backed throne adorned with a beaded frame, his upper body nude and his lower body draped. He extends his right arm forward to support a perched eagle with open wings, while his left hand grasps a long scepter upright. The legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field. A control symbol, identified as a torch or kantharos, appears in the left field below the eagle, and a monogram or letter (kappa) is visible beneath the throne in the exergue. The composition reflects the canonical reverse type established under Alexander III and continued throughout the posthumous coinage. |
