| 表面の説明 | Youthful beardless head of Heracles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp knotted beneath the chin with the lion's paws visible at the neck. The portrait exhibits fine Hellenistic workmanship with deeply modelled curling hair visible beneath the headdress, strong classical facial features, and a prominent brow. A beaded border frames the design. The idealized effigy is widely understood to carry a veiled portrait likeness of Alexander III himself. |

| 裏面の説明 | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left upon a backless throne, his body draped, with an eagle perched upon his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre held upright in his left. In the left field, a hand symbol appears above, and a monogram is placed below the throne as a mint control mark. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, reading downward. The composition follows the standard Alexandrine reverse type established at the Pella mint. |
