Reverse description Zeus Aetophoros enthroned left on a backless stool-throne, his nude torso draped from the waist, holding an eagle with spread wings on his extended right hand and a long sceptre upright in his left hand. In the left field, an axe symbol appears, and below the throne a coiled serpent is depicted. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, denoting 'of Alexander.' The composition reflects the canonical reverse type established for the Alexandrine tetradrachm series.
