The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the upper right field. In the left field appear the civic abbreviation ΕΡΥ (for Erythrai), a monogram, and a club — secondary control marks identifying the issuing authority. The entire reverse design is framed within an olive wreath border, a hallmark of the later posthumous issues struck at Erythrai. |
