Obverse description Youthful bare head of Heracles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, with the scalp secured over the crown and the lion's open jaw framing the upper forehead; the mane rendered in bold, deeply cut curls cascading behind the neck. The facial features are finely modeled in the Hellenistic tradition, displaying a strong profile with a prominent nose, parted lips, and a sensitively articulated ear visible beneath the headdress. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with posthumous Alexandrine coinage struck at an Ionian mint. No legend appears on the obverse; the field is plain.
