Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low stool-throne, his upper body nude and draped from the waist down; his outstretched right hand supports an eagle with closed wings, while his left hand grasps a tall sceptre. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ above and ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ below frames the reverse field. A stag's antler appears as a control symbol in the left field, identifying this issue to the mint of Amphipolis. The composition follows the canonical Alexander-type reverse established at the outset of his reign.
