The reverse legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs to the right and below the throne, identifying the coin as issued in the name of King Alexander. A Phrygian helmet facing right appears as a mint control symbol in the left field, serving as the key diagnostic for the Price 112 issue of the Amphipolis mint during the earliest posthumous or terminal regal period. |
