Reverse description Zeus Aetophoros enthroned left on a low stool-throne, his upper body nude and a himation draped across his lap and legs; his outstretched right hand supports an eagle with wings closed, while his left hand grasps a long sceptre rising vertically behind him. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. In the inner left field a star appears above a monogram, serving as mint-control symbols specific to the Sinope issue; the letter Γ is placed in the outer right field as an additional control mark. The composition follows the canonical Alexandrine reverse type established under Alexander III of Macedon.
