| Opis awersu | Youthful head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless and wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp tied beneath the chin with the lion's paws visible at the neck. The modelling is robust and confident in the Hellenistic tradition, with curling hair escaping from beneath the pelt along the nape. The field is plain, with no legend, consistent with posthumous Alexandrine coinage struck in the name of Alexander III. |

| Opis rewersu | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low backless throne, his right arm outstretched and supporting an eagle, his left hand grasping a tall sceptre. The reverse legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs to the right and left of the seated figure. In the outer left field, a Corinthian helmet is placed above a monogram, serving as the mint control symbol identifying the issue to Mesembria. The composition follows the canonical posthumous Alexander type with competent, if provincial, die-cutting. |
