The portrait follows the idealized Lysippan type associated with Alexander III, displaying strong facial features with a prominent brow, high cheekbone, and a slightly parted mouth. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with the hand-struck technique of the period. The field is plain, with no border of dots visible on this specimen. |

| Описание реверса | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a backless throne (diphros), his himation draped over his lower body and left arm; in his extended right hand he holds an eagle, and in his raised left hand a long sceptre. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the upper and right fields. In the left field, the civic monogram ΜΑ appears above a Corinthian helmet, with the additional control mark ΣΚΑ positioned below the throne, identifying the emission as a posthumous issue of Mesambria. The composition adheres closely to the canonical Alexander tetradrachm reverse type derived from the Amphipolis prototype. |
