| Obverse description | Beardless head of Heracles facing right, depicted in three-quarter relief with idealised youthful features, enveloped in the lion skin headdress whose scalp covers the crown and the gaping jaws frame the face. The curling locks of hair emerge beneath the pelt at the nape and temple, rendered with fine incised detail characteristic of the Pamphylian die-cutting tradition. The finely modelled facial features — strong brow, aquiline nose, and slightly parted lips — follow the Lysippan portrait convention associating Heracles with Alexander the Great. The field is plain and uninscribed. |
