| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a backless stool-throne, his body draped from the waist, holding an eagle perched on his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre upright in his left. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field, while the Macedonian regnal date KA (year 21, equating to 201–200 BC) appears in the left field. The composition follows the canonical reverse type established at the Macedonian royal mint, rendered here in the regional style of Perge in Pamphylia. |
