| Descrizione del rovescio | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a high-backed throne, his upper body nude, lower body draped, holding an eagle perched on his outstretched right hand and a long scepter in his left. The Greek legend BAΣIΛEΩΣ to the right and AΛEΞANΔΡOΥ to the left frames the central type in two vertical columns. A small control symbol, possibly a monogram or civic mark, appears in the lower left field beneath the throne. The composition follows the standard Alexandrine reverse type but with the distinctive civic symbols of the Mesambrian mint. |
