正面描述 Celticised laureate and bearded head of Zeus facing right, rendered in a bold, stylised Celtic interpretation of the Macedonian prototype. The wreath, composed of large, schematically rendered laurel leaves, dominates the upper field and flows behind the head in an exuberant, abstracted manner characteristic of Eastern Celtic die-cutting. The facial features — brow, nose, and beard — are rendered with simplified but vigorous relief, retaining the general physiognomy of the original Macedonian model while exhibiting pronounced Celtic artistic stylisation. No legend or inscription appears in the field.

附加信息

The "Honter type" designation traces to Johann Honterus, the 16th-century Transylvanian humanist and cartographer whose collected finds from the Carpathian Basin helped bring early Celtic coinage in the region to scholarly attention. These tetradrachms were struck by tribes operating in what is now roughly modern Romania and Hungary, communities that absorbed Macedonian monetary conventions following Alexander's campaigns without ever being subject to Macedonian political authority. The copying was economic mimicry, not tribute.

The Göbl reference places this piece within a tightly defined stylistic cluster, useful for attribution but insufficient to pin down a single issuing group with confidence.
