Additional information

Laodikeia ad Lycum operated under a magistrate coinage system during the late Republican period, with civic officials lending their names — and sometimes their fathers' names — to successive issues as a mark of local administrative authority. Euenos, son of Herodos, is attested only through this series; no other epigraphic record survives to place him further. The dating to 58–56 BC puts this issue squarely within the turbulent years following the lex Vatinia, when Roman reorganization of Anatolian provincial governance was actively reshaping how cities like Laodikeia managed their own monetary affairs.
