| Descrizione del dritto | Central device depicting a cista mystica — the sacred basket of Dionysus — with a serpent emerging from its partially open lid, rendered in high relief. The cista is encircled by an elaborate ivy wreath adorned with alternating leaves, berries, and fruit clusters, characteristic of the Cistophoric coinage tradition. The overall composition is bold and finely detailed, with the wreath forming a near-complete ring around the central device. No legend appears on the obverse. The style reflects the Hellenistic artistic conventions of western Asia Minor. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Two intertwined serpents fill the field, coiling around a central stele or omphalos, rendered with vigorous naturalistic detail in high relief. Above the serpents, a two-line Greek legend reads ΔΙΟΝΥΣΙΟΣ / ΑΤΑΚΗΣ, identifying the magistrates responsible for the issue. To the left of the central device, the city ethnic ΛΑΟ (for Laodikeia) appears, while a thyrsus or plant symbol is visible to the right in the field. The reverse composition follows the standard Cistophoric reverse type established for cities of the Roman province of Asia. |
