| Beschrijving keerzijde | A raised quadripartite incuse square dominates the reverse, divided into four triangular sections by diagonal lines meeting at the centre, all set within a shallow outer incuse square typical of early Thracian coinage. The magistrate's name is inscribed in Greek letters around the incuse square, reading EΠI ΔEONYΔOΣ, identifying the eponymous magistrate responsible for this issue. The lettering is distributed across the border of the incuse, with syllable breaks arranged to fill the available space. The overall composition reflects the transitional incuse technique characteristic of fifth-century Abdera tetradrachms. |
