| 背面描述 | Poseidon Pelagaios, nude, seated left upon a rocky promontory, his body turned slightly toward the viewer. In his extended right hand he holds an aphlaston (a curved stern ornament of a ship), while his left hand grasps an upright trident. To the inner left field, a monogram appears above the letter Z; a second monogram is placed in the inner right field. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ runs in the field, identifying the issuer as King Demetrius. The composition reflects the close association of Demetrius I with Poseidon as divine patron. |
