| 表面の説明 | Diademed head of Demetrius I Poliorcetes facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with idealized, youthful features and a prominent bull's horn rising from the diadem above the forehead — an attribute associating the king with Poseidon and divine power. The hair is elaborately worked in thick, flowing waves swept back from the face, with individual locks finely engraved. The portrait is set within a plain inner field, surrounded by a beaded border near the coin's edge. The modelling is of exceptional quality, characteristic of the accomplished die-cutters active at the Amphipolis mint in the early third century BC. |

| 裏面の説明 | Poseidon Pelagaios seated left on a rocky promontory, his muscular torso nude and his lower body draped in a himation. His right arm is raised and extended forward, holding a trident upright, while his left hand rests upon his knee. A prow of a warship appears at the lower left of the field, referencing Demetrius's celebrated naval victories. A monogram appears in the left field. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the left and ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ to the right of the central figure identifies the issuing king in Greek characters, with the composition conveying both martial and divine authority. |
