| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate and bearded head of Zeus in right-facing profile, rendered with considerable artistic detail. The deity's thick, curling beard and deeply modelled facial features convey a powerful, mature visage characteristic of Hellenistic portraiture. The hair is elaborately arranged with layered, ridged locks swept back from the brow, and a wreath of laurel or oak adorns the head. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, with the portrait occupying the full field in the Hellenistic tradition. No legend appears on the obverse. |
