| Description de l’avers | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, rendered in the provincial style of the Alexandrian mint. The imperial effigy displays the characteristic portrait conventions of late 2nd-century Roman Egyptian coinage, with the laurel wreath clearly delineated around the head. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan shows the typical irregular fabric of Alexandrian billon tetradrachms of this period. |

| Description du revers | Zeus enthroned to the left, his body semi-draped, extending his right hand forward holding a thunderbolt and grasping a tall vertical sceptre in his left hand. The deity is rendered in the classicising Hellenistic tradition favoured by the Alexandrian mint engravers. The regnal year date appears in the left field as a Greek letter numeral, serving as the primary dating element for this issue. The composition closely follows the standard Alexandrian reverse type for Zeus associated with Commodus-era tetradrachms. |
