| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed and draped bust of Cleopatra VII facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition of the late Ptolemaic dynasty. The effigy displays characteristically sharp facial features with a prominent nose and chin, the hair elaborately dressed and bound with a royal diadem. The portrait is executed in moderately high relief on a broad flan, typical of Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage of the period. The surface shows natural patination consistent with ancient silver coinage. |
