| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed head of Antiochos XI facing right, portrayed as a youthful, idealised Hellenistic ruler with finely rendered curling hair bound by a royal diadem, the ends of which fall behind the neck. The facial features are delicately modelled in the late Seleucid portrait tradition, with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a clean-shaven visage. The field is plain, with no inscription, the portrait occupying the full breadth of the flan. |
