The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the coin as that of Alexander. A bull's head facing right serves as a mint control symbol in the left field, a diagnostic feature of the Sardis mint issues catalogued under Price 2540.
