| Descrizione del dritto | Bare head of Hermes facing right, rendered in fine archaic-transitional style with delicately modeled facial features and softly curling hair falling beneath the brim of a petasos adorned with a prominent beaded band. The youthful, idealised effigy displays a gently aquiline profile with a well-defined eye, fleshy lips, and a rounded chin. The petasos brim is visible above the forehead, its rolled edge decorated with a distinctive row of pellets rendered in high relief. Curling locks emerge from beneath the hat and frame the face and nape, reflecting the accomplished die-engraving tradition of the Thracian mint. |
