正面描述	Head of the nymph Segesta facing right, rendered in fine late Classical style with elaborately dressed hair adorned with a diadem and a beaded necklace visible at the truncation. The hair is depicted in voluminous curls bound with a decorative stephane, with an ear of grain tucked behind the head. The legend ΣΕΛΕ – ΣΤΑZΙA is disposed in the field to either side of the effigy. The portraiture reflects the influence of the Syracusan engraving tradition.

背面描述	The eponymous hero Aigestes (Acestes) depicted nude and standing in a dynamic three-quarter pose, hunting a boar which rushes toward the lower left. The hero grasps the animal and raises a spear in his right hand, his chlamys billowing behind him; a hound leaps at the boar from the lower field. The scene is rendered with vigorous naturalism characteristic of Sicilian die-engraving of the early fourth century BC. The ethnic legend ΕΓΕΣΤΑΙΩΝ is partially visible in the field to the left.
