| 表面の説明 | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with elaborately braided and wreathed hair cascading in thick locks behind the neck. The facial features are finely modelled with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a well-defined chin. A laurel wreath is interwoven through the hair, and a small bow or quiver symbol appears behind the head in the left field. The portrait fills the flan with commanding presence, characteristic of the skilled die-cutters of Aeolian Myrina. |

| 裏面の説明 | Apollo Grynios standing facing, head turned to the right, clad in a long chiton and himation, holding a patera in his extended right hand and a laurel branch in his left. At his feet to the right stands an oinochoe (jug) and a round object, while to the left a monogram (ΔΥΙ) appears. The entire central type is enclosed within a broad wreath of laurel, with the civic ethnic ΜΥΡΙΝΑΙΩΝ inscribed vertically along the left interior of the wreath. The composition is typical of the autonomous coinage of Myrina in Aeolis, reflecting the city's devotion to Apollo Grynios. |

Myrina, an Aeolian city on the western coast of Asia Minor, struck these tetradrachms during a period when the Attalid kingdom of Pergamon effectively dominated the region. The coins follow the "stephanophoric" style — wreathed issues that proliferated across Asia Minor after Athens opened the format to allied and client cities — but Myrina's issues are distinguished by specific magistrate monograms that allow individual emission sequences to be reconstructed. Sacks identified at least several distinct die groupings within this decade-long production window.
The series ends abruptly around 145 BC, likely tied to shifting Attalid administrative pressure on allied mints.
