Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with elaborately braided and wreathed hair cascading in thick locks behind the neck. The facial features are finely modelled with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a well-defined chin. A laurel wreath is interwoven through the hair, and a small bow or quiver symbol appears behind the head in the left field. The portrait fills the flan with commanding presence, characteristic of the skilled die-cutters of Aeolian Myrina.
